Macromedia Flash 8 Course

| Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Assalamualaikum,

After so many years of wishing, finally it came through. Ever since I started working, mainly from KMJ, I've always asked the superior to send me to a Macromedia Flash course. I would remind myself to make it a point to write it in my SKT form that I wanted to attend such course. But, unfortunately for me, I never had that opportunity there.

Today, for the past few days my wish finally became reality. I was sent to attend a Macromedia Flash 8 course here at Bahagian Teknologi Pendidikan Negeri Selangor, somewhere near Shah Alam. Although this time, the course was not arranged at any glorious hotel, I am satisfied because the main objective is to learn Flash and not bother about the accommodation.

I should be able to come up with some kind of a product at the end of the course. And maybe, just maybe I would share it in here with you guys...

Until then, take care now bye bye then...got Flash presentation to finish...huhuhu

RECSAM trip again...

Assalamualaikum,

This time around, I made it again to the Regional Center for Education in Science and Mathematics or easily called RECSAM here in Penang. This time I was ordered to attend "Science as a Platform for Effective Integration of ICT, Mathematics and Language".

Funnily this course is not cheap (Though I don't mind since the office whose paying all this) and I was surprised that non-teaching staff like me being asked to attend such course. I should expect this kinda course when I was in matriculation. But hey, why complaint? I just think of it as a sponsored holiday for me. BTW, its been a while since I been to Penang.

I must say I always enjoy courses given by outsiders (Non-Malaysian) and in this case Mr. Colin Webb and Ms. Shirley Gibson, both from Australia. They always deliver a different approach even though here in Malaysia I realized that their method is more idealist rather than realist. I doubt that if we ever adapt that kind of approach here in Malaysia, non of the teachers will be able to finish the syllabus in time for exams. Yes, Malaysia education is exam-oriented no matter how hard we want to deny it.

It was interesting how they (Mr. Webb and Ms. Gibson) relates those tiny2 little detail to the education of Science and Maths. But personally I think its a little too far fetched.

one of the product I built during the course, never underestimate this wooden car's contributions towards education....hehehe

Anyhow, I did learn a lot, especially in the MS PowerPoint application which I didn't know exist before this.

Thinking of getting some tidbits to bring back home like the famous Buah Pala and Salak. Hiks. Until then, take care now bye bye then
