2nd PTK

| Thursday, August 21, 2008

Assalamualaikum,

Today have been a hectic day...went back to Tangkak just to attend PTK exam at a school in Sungai Mati.

I wish I was the one on the right

This is my second attempt at trying to pass the exam with flying colours. I discarded the idea that the results are given randomly regardless if we do well or flunk the papers. I prepared myself again but this time much2 systematically compared to last time. You know what they say, Study Smart don't Study Hard.

Came back to KL the same day as I don't think I want to spend the next few days stuck in the boring small town of Tangkak with nothing to do.

p.s: Attended the exam with a pink of health...came back with a flu. It was raining all the way there and back. HaaaChOOOO!!!!

27th & MAHA 08

| Tuesday, August 19, 2008

Assalamualaikum,

It's my 27th year to be alive in this world and I thank Allah for blessing me with beloved family and friends around me. Nothing special today, but the moment I opened my eyes, wishes came rushing into my inbo. Thanks for those who wished me and sorry couldn't find time to reply some of those SMS's.

Received a must have annual Birthday greeting cards from Abah, Mama, big bro, sister-in-law and even my two little rascal nephews. Hey guys...where's my cake??

Then we decided to head to MARDI next to UPM for the Malaysia Agricultural, Horticulture & Agrotourism Show (MAHA) 2008.

I guess I can't quite explain what I've been through and I think the photo will speak for themselves much better than me putting it into words...enjoy.

We needed the Tram Bracelet to get around because...

...this place is huge

There's petting zoo...livestock sunbathing etc....

Camel riding, horse riding...and even horny stallion...huhuhu

Boer sheep asked for help at the Agrobazaar...

the Shouting Rangers answered the call. Hehehe

Rodeo show brought all the way from Australia.

...and a missing Malaysian Cowboy....hehehe

All and all it was a great experience. The MARDI center really have change a lot since the last time I visited. Malaysians should go and give a visit...

p.s: FYI there will be no Rodeo show until Friday...that was what I heard the announcement said...

New Three Stripes

Assalamualaikum,

Today I finally got out after few days of fever. It's time I have a good supply of air for a change. Went around KL with my Mama and Abah. Settling some of credit card bills and grocery shopping.

Suddenly, Abah said "Adik taknak ke kasut sneakers baru buat jalan-jalan???", but I was not in a mood for browsing any stuff but it's been a while since Abah throw that kind of question so I grabbed the opportunity. Anyway...it was for certain occasion tomorrow...hehehe.

I started looking at the Adidas range as I've always made myself clear that the next sports shoes that I will buy it would be Adidas. My mind was set to buy something that is contemporary, sporty and wearable in any condition and....this is what I chose.

Old-school white shoes

Inglewood 2 - Basketball??

And I got myself a new pair of matching white Adidas socks together with the new shoes. How fanatic is that?

P.s: If Razak or Shuk finds out...habisla...heheheh

Burnt & Sunburned

| Sunday, August 17, 2008

Assalamualaikum,

After coming back from Kuala Pilah, the effect of standing under a hot sunny day finally takes it toll. Unfortunately for me, my body reacted badly by giving me constant headache and pain. This might also been inflicted by a major stress been put upon me. I can imagine myself being in those metal stamping machine in the Proton Car factory being push against my will which eventually crush me to death. Maybe that was really whats coming at me inevitably. I just didn't see it until it was too late.

On the other hand, a part of me really want to start a clean slate. This mid semester break provided me with the opportunity to revive myself. Start back with anything that is left of me, regroup and rebuild myself.

I hope they are satisfied. I hope they are happy wherever they are, whatever they are doing. I've lost this battle and it's gonna take quite some time for me to recuperate. Until then, take care now bye bye then

Assalamualaikum,

I always say to my student.."Don't make me speak Malay!!!" Sebabnya kalau aku cakap melayu dalam kelas tuh tandanya aku marahnya yang teramat sangat lah tandanya. Tapi derang nih macam tak makan saman @ tak paham bahasa Inggeris @ plain stupid.

Sebabnya bile kita bercakap bahasa ibunda kita nih...pilihan ayat dan perkataan adalah unlimited...macam2 bleh keluar. Senang nak kutuk, senang nak bebel. Meaning pon kadang2 direct. Marah bahasa inggeris aku nih plak bertapis2 macam tower filter tuh.

So tak perlu banyak soal jawab dengan pihak atasan.
p.s: Minggu depan nak start kuliah...aduh puasa...puasa

Friendly...

Assalamualaikum,

Yesterday held the Larian KAKOM 2008. This annual event normally held to celebrate the college representative to the sports event this coming August. As told before, I am managing the Men's Volleyball Team.

The guys lining up for KAKOM Team Presentation

Unfortunately, I have previously made an appointment for a friendly on the same date of Larian KAKOM 2008. Not my fault, the decided on the run last minute. So I was afraid that my players will be out of steam by the time they meet up for their first ever friendly match.

The friendly was against the Sg Abung Volleyball Club. The members consists of professional people from different backgrounds like teachers, JPJ officers, police and much more. Even thought some of them are married people, we do not underestimate their capabilities as we have experience friendly with them previously and trust me...they are good.

The friendly started quite late at 11 am and the sun was right on top of us. Which is bad for my skin tone but which is also good for the players as we also have a fixture at noon during KAKOM.

We started off very good with a 25-22 win. But after a few experimental line-up from our coach, unfortunately we lost the rest of the sets. Hehe. To be honest, I'm not totally disappointed because they didn't get beaten badly..but only by few points. Not bad for the first friendly, and against a worthy opponent I might say.

Coach also said that their performance was great except for some minor mistake that we might have to work on before KAKOM.

I have high hopes for them...

Assalamualaikum,

The title might be puzzling but it is not me who's engaged but it is my phone. Hiks.

Previously Nokia produced specific N-gage phones for those games enthusiast to fill in their free time but they have progressed since then...

1st N-Gage

N-Gage QD

Ever since Nokia introduced N-Gage console inside their smart phones, I ever been longing to have it as my own. But they first started it with the later N81 as a platform. Fortunate enough for me, few months later, it was available for other models like N95 as well.

N-Gage enabled Nokia N95

Recently I found website link that enables me to install all those games into my phone and I couldn't be more happier. Games like World Series of Poker, Asphalt 3, Midnight Pool, Mile High Pinball, Brain Challenge, Block Breaker, Snakes Subsonic, Space Impact, Hooked: Creature of the Deep, System Rush and FIFA08 are now available at the palm of my hands. More games are said to be coming soon here.

People might say that the games are also available without the N-Gage's application but the truth is the feeling is a little different. It's very awkward to have that N-gage icon available yet nothing is accessible inside. Now...no more.

Phone Screenshots

The process of installing this application is a little bit tricky and I can't afford to have time to write it here...but if anyone is interested, I might give you guys the link to help you out.

Until then...game on!

Assalamualaikum,

Congratulations Spain for beating the Germans in the Euro 2008 final only by a goal by Liverpool's marksman Fernando Torres.

Euro 2008 Final Hero, Fernando Torres

Spain ended their 44-year trophy drought by deservedly beating Germany 1-0 thanks to Fernando Torres' first-half strike in an entertaining Euro 2008 Final in Vienna.

Three-times winners Germany had spluttered on their way to the Final, particularly against Croatia and Turkey, and they were second-best for long periods against Luis Aragones' impressive side.

After his injury scare, Germany captain Michael Ballack started the match while for Spain, the tournament's top scorer, David Villa, missed out so Cesc Fabregas began in midfield.

Spain were nervous in the early stages with Germany settling the better and Thomas Hitzlsperger had the first effort on goal that was easily gathered by Iker Casillas.

However, when Spain did finally get into their stride they almost took the lead in the 15th minute when Andres Iniesta's cross hit Christoph Metzelder and was heading towards goal until Jens Lehmann pulled off a fine reaction save.

Eight minutes later the Spaniards went even closer to breaking the deadlock when Fabregas picked out Sergio Ramos whose cross was headed against a post by Torres with Lehmann beaten.

Spain did score the crucial first goal just after the half-hour. It seemed that Torres was chasing a lost cause but Philipp Lahm inexplicably stopped chasing the ball, allowing the striker to clip a shot over Lehmann and into the back of the unguarded net.

It was very poor defending by Lahm who has not had the best of tournaments. He should have been first to the ball and cleared the danger easily.

Germany improved at the start of the second half and Casillas did just enough to stop Ballack's tantalising cross reaching substitute Kevin Kuranyi before Bastian Schweinsteiger's drilled cross hit Miroslav Klose and deflected wide.

When Spain responded an unmarked Sergio Ramos appeared to have doubled their lead but Lehmann made a fine one-handed stop while Torsten Frings was forced to knock Iniesta's shot off the line.

With eight minutes left Marcos Senna was centimetres away from making it 2-0 after substitutes Santaigo Cazorla and Daniel Guiza had created the chance by carving the German defence open again.

Joachim Low's side failed to put any pressure on the Spain defence in the closing stages as Aragones' side fully deserved their narrow success.

After 44 years...they really deserve this...congrats

p.s: Funny how size doesn't matter here. The Spaniards were like midgets compared to the Germans but still they had it all...They are the new European Champion!!!

Viva Italia

| Saturday, June 28, 2008

Assalamualaikum

You maybe wondering why one earth I chanted 'Viva Italia' although the Italian already crashed out from the Euro 2008 recently by Spain in a penalty shootout after the two team were in deadlock even after extra time. But I have been a lifelong Italian national team supporter and a big fan of Alessandro Del Piero.I remembered how I began to support Italy team. It was during the World Cup 1994 in USA. At that time it was Roberto Baggio's era to shine. Unfortunately they lost in the Final game against Brazil ironically also in a penalty shootout. It was since then that I devoted myself to support Italy Football team in any of the major football events.

The Italian team almost made me proud in the Euro 2000 where unfortunely they lost to France in the final after a quick goal right at the end lashes the hope of the Italian to lift the european trophy. But in 2006, the proudest moment in my time as Italian supporter, they've won the World Cup.

Do you know what those 4 stars in the logo mean? It means the number of time Italian became World Champions

Upon devoting myself as Italian fan, I did bought myself some collection of the Italian Football kit to show my support. These are among the Italian Kit's I previously owned.

The World Cup France 98' (my brother gave this as a present)The World Cup 2004 kit (My 'bestest' friend gave this as my birthday present)

I've also dislike some of previous Italian Away kit like this one...don't know why.

And yesterday, I bought myself the latest Home Italian Kit to add to my collection.

I've also interested in making the latest away kit my own. But not anytime soon.

Well that wraps up my career as Italian National team supporter from Malaysia. Maybe more soon to come for the Italian Team. Viva Italia!!!

Constant Pain in the neck

| Wednesday, June 25, 2008

Assalamualaikum,

The title was not meant literally but these people are getting on my nerves. Have you ever have this situation where you explained over and over the same thing to someone but it seems to bear no effects whatsoever. Still they repeat the same mistake.

I can't understand. No means no...yes means yes. What so hard about that? Even a 6-year old can understand. When I said no means I have my reasons.

Why won't they listen to me?? Damn it!!

p.s: I hate nagging...but it seems that I've been doing it a lot lately.

Phew....

Assalamualaikum,

Wow...long time no write. Hiks. Anyway, I've gone so much things that I wanted to share but maybe I just write in just few of them.

Volleyball training have been in a very good progress. Those candidates really putting on a show. I honestly believe that this year our college have a fighting chance. I hope I can last that long until the end of this year at the college.

Talking about lasting that long there, I am currently working my ass out to get out of that college and try to secure an officer job in Putrajaya as a data collector+processor+analyzer. Not that I'm bored being an educator, it's just that I needed to be close to my aging parents who are currently in KL. Maybe being nearer will enable me to take a closer care rather than me being away in Tangkak. At first I wanted to wait for the new college in Banting to open but I was not so sure that it is going to happen anytime soon.

Although my initial application was rejected by the Pengarah. I manage to persuade him to reconsider after I triggered his sensitivity towards parents. He changed from "tidak disokong kerana kekurangan tenaga pensyarah matematik" to "disokong dengan syarat ada pengganti kerana kekurangan tenaga pensyarah matematik". Good enough to get the application going. I just hope everything is going well after this.

Last Wednesday also, the audit by SIRIM was done and incredibly, we manage to get ZERO NCR...which means no error whatsoever. Funny, cause I got one right here. Hiks. Just happy the college got away this time. I'm also glad I was not chosen to be audited. Hehehe.

Recent news also impresses me. The Karma rule really came true. Well you know, what goes around comes around, what goes up must come down kinda thing. Some people deserve what coming at them. You only don't know when. Hope that the incident teaches them a lesson rather than making them more ruthless. :P

p.s: I am thinking of getting myself a new car...but the fuel price is putting me off.

Happy Birthday Ma...

Showdown

| Wednesday, June 4, 2008

Assalamualaikum,

Yesterday was the first day of me taking charge of the mini volleyball tournament. There was 9 team which have been sorted out to three leagues. Each team consist of 7 players. It was intense after I've identified few talented players which I believe will be fit to wear the college's volleyball team jersey.

This year we will have more exciting team in our hands compared to last year. A handful of players came to show off their skills and I predict that this year we should be able to make it to at least the semi's if not the final.

So for the next few months until mid-August, I'm gonna be extra busy at college, eat dinner and go to bed early. That was my routine last time I'd handle this kind of thing.

Today is the second day of the tournament and I can't wait to see the showdown between two favorite teams make it to the finals...until then take care now bye bye then...
