Assalamualaikum,

Having to leave my PS2 at home to allow my nephews to play them during the school break leave me with only my laptop and my N-gage on my N95 game to occupy the time. As you all know, I only recently bought FIFA Soccer 09 and now I can't play them. Huhuhu.

Worry not, now I have FIFA Soccer 09 mobile on my N95's N-gage.

This will be my latest addition to my list of games I have.

My left eye have been twitching for the past one week and people told me that it was a sign that I am about to cry in the near future. I don't normally believe these superstitions but yesterday I found out cruel truth about it. Yes I cried...

My most beloved uncle a.k.a Wak Ali have passed away yesterday evening at his home in Batu 10 Teluk Panglima Garang, Sijangkang. He was suffering from multiple internal organ malfunction and was warded at Hospital Putrajaya two weeks ago.

The day that we went for the visit, he seems to recover. Even with his weak condition, he managed to invite us to have a drink while visiting him. He made me smile thinking how a sick man could think of what visitor should drink. That was how he was so generous even when he's sick.

I thought recovery was on the way until yesterday I picked up my Abah's phone and read about him.

It was shocking yet expected news. He was as old as my Mama's side grandma. I never had a grandfather you see, so Wak Ali was to me like a grandfather figure. It was sad to lose him.

By the time we arrived at kampung this morning, they were about the perform Solat Jenazah and carry him to the nearest cemetary. I couldn't hide my tears no matter how hard I tried. I could see my cousin's eyes were as red as mine. We dare not talk to each other as I think I might burst my tears out.

The 'talkin' session at the cemetery was serene and peaceful. Everything went well. It was heart touching. The recitation finally made me cry. People might think I'm not suppose to but I did. For so many reasons of course and not just because of the loss of my uncle.

We left that afternoon knowing that the next Raya won't be the same anymore. There will no longer be Wak Sarsaparilla [that's what I used to call him as he likes to serve visitor with that type of drink].

Added the latest franchise of Need For Speed : Undercover to my PS2 game list.

This 12th installment game's story mode sets the player in the story as a police officer going undercover into the criminal underground of Tri-City, a fictional city where the game is set. Players take on dangerous jobs and compete in races in order to infiltrate and take down a ruthless international crime smuggling syndicate of street racers and car thieves.

note : Still haven't finished playing NFS : Carbon...huhuhu

A visit to the nearest hypermarket have forced me to make an unpopular decision to buy a bigger capacity Memory Card of SanDisk 4GB micro SDHC for my N95.

I know this is kinda late and I should have bought 8GB but I this 4GB is sufficient considering that I only add the latest N-gage games and the space is getting very limited. I never used my N95 as a MP3 player anyway.

FYI, a 4GB microSDHC card can store more than 1,000 digital songs or more than 2,000 high-resolution pictures or up to 8 hours of MPEG 4 video. I think that is more than enough for me.

The only thing is I need to transfer all the backup and important appointments from the previous memory card into this new one. Hehehe

On the day I went to see Madagascar : Escape 2 Africa, I came across a video game booth and suddenly it reminded me of the PS2 console I've abandoned for such a long time back at home. I started browsing through some of the game folders and found several game titles that interests me based on the online forums and websites. The two most competitive game which have the same genre, football. Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 from Konami and FIFA Soccer 09 from EA Sports.

These two gaming company have been at each others back ever since the late 90's where both have tried to produce the best football or soccer game of every year. In the past, they are actually neck to neck in my opinion because I've played both. But today I am just going to compare these two specific versions and announce my winner for the best soccer game of 2009.

PES 2009
Gameplay has been improved for Pro Evolution Soccer 2009, with key additions as an improved Teamvision system, tactics change according to situation, better of the ball fluency AI recognizing strategies that works accumulating data on an ongoing basis within Master League and League modes. Another new addition is the readjustments for ball movements. PES 2009 has new air resistance calculations for the trajectory of the ball. There will also be new friction routines to affect ball movement in terms of ground conditions, backspin routines are calculated so that ball slows accordingly, and the bounce of the ball can be used more effectively: players can flick the ball up to tee a shot, or to lift it over a defender's trailing leg. Skills are now integrated more into the game. If a player has the ability, they will be able to perform skilful turns. There will also be adjusted controls to make close control more intuitive. All new Manual Passing and there is no slowdown in replays or matches. PES 2009 will also feature a new game mode called 'Become A Legend', much like EA Sports FIFA Series Be a Pro mode where you will take control of a chosen player throughout his career.

Unfortunately, being the fan of the english league. I am still frustrated over the unlicensed team which causes the teams in the league not recognizable like the previous PES. However, they have taken a step forward by adding a license to my favourite team, Liverpool. Not bad.

FIFA Soccer 09
Among the improvements in the new FIFA are improved responsiveness that allows for quicker release of the ball, greater urgency in the off-the-ball running, a new jostle system that takes into account the strength of the players when going shoulder to shoulder and subtle animations that enable players to take first-time shots.

Another of the edition's biggest changes is a completely revamped collision system, which calculates speed, weight and power when the players collide, as each player will have their own individual strength and power statistics depending on their body characteristics.

New goalkeeper technology has also been added which allows for better positioning, better reactions to saves and faster recovery after a save has been made.

A further improvement from FIFA 08 is the weather and time. Rain and snow can be switched on and off before games, which affects whether players wear gloves. Games can be played at either day, dusk or night depending on the stadium choice.

If a player is substituted during half time, the replacement player is seen warming up and running on to the pitch. However if a substitution is made during play, the players are seen approaching each other. The score of the game has an effect on this, if a player has scored then he waves to the fans and claps before being substituted, however some players react badly to being substituted for example, if they are having a good or disappointing game, or if they are a key player in the squad, however this wasn't the case as the above did not appear in the final game. Captains have more of an effect in the team. Choosing a squad member who has good captain qualities for example from the players stats under leadership will help the balance of the team.

Overall after experiencing these two games for couple of hour, here's my verdict. I hereby declare FIFA Soccer 09 as the winner for this year's footballing game. But I think they only won it by a small margin. [The license problem for PES is a major setback for me...hehe]

It's been a while since I write here. Been kinda busy with the preparation of the new semester and all. Yesterday, I managed to steal some time to bring myself to Melaka Mall's MBO to watch Madagascar : Escape 2 Africa. Oh man, the best animation movie of the year!!

Almost damaged my stomach laughing my heart out throughout the entire movie. If you like the first installment, then this sequel wont disappoint you at all. It's about the four exiled New York's Zoo animal who got themselves stuck in Madagascar trying to work their way back to New York with a bunch of optimistic penguins.

It's a must see movie...so move it... Hiks

Yesterday was my big bro's birthday but my family were not able to celebrate anything due to hectic schedule of wedding reception invitation so we decided to give him a visit at his home at Puchong Lestari and have lunch over.

For that we chose to bring along his favourite dish, the famous and EXPENSIVE beriani rice in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, INSAF. Not a surprise to see the latest price listing of a normal Chicken Beriyani rice now cost RM11. Makes you "Insaf" for a while. Hahaha. I used to remember it only cost RM5 like 10 years ago and increased bit by bit until today.
