Now That I Know

| Thursday, April 30, 2009

Assalamualaikum,

Now I know how much it hurts,
Is there's a difference
between lying or not telling?
How the truth can sometimes
makes us crash and burn.

Maybe I had it coming,
Or I just won't admit it,
but everyone just wants to move on,
I don't want to be in the way of it.

I don't know then,
But I know today,
And now that I know everything,
I just wish I never knew at all...

HP Pavilion a6745d Home PC

|

Assalamualaikum,

This is my new Desktop PC, The HP Pavilion a6745d Home PC I bought at One Utama, Bandar Utama.
My old PC is nearing its end because of the 'tick' sound every time it hang telling me that the hard disk is crashing. Without a backup hard disk, a CD/DVD ROM or any other hardware working anymore, I think this is a time for a replacement. The old PC have served me well for the past 10 years. 10 years is old enough to be called dinosaur in computer geeks vocabulary. Hiks.

What I like about this desktop is that it comes with a 20 inch LCD plat Monitor. Something I've been dreaming of for a very long time. Now, watching movie is going to be a better experience. A wide screen of my own.

I am truly happy to fulfill my long awaited dream to own a Hewlett-Packard desktop. Now the transfer will begin.

From SE K to SE W

Assalamualaikum,

The title don't make any sense isn't it? Please read on...

Yesterday, upon browsing the shops in Tangkak, I was not really searching for any specific stuff. But when I came across a mobile phone shop. There were not many choice there like the shops in KL. But I saw a phone which I believe may replace my K750i as the second phone which was suffering from difficulty of getting the charger to work. I have to wiggle it a little bit before the charging process can begin. So it was due to be replace. Although I liked the model very much. There is no way I am buying the same model. BTW I think they discontinued the model I guess. I am going to miss that Super Real Tennis that I always play during my free time.
I've always wanted a clamp shell phone, and I've always thinking about getting a Walkman phone. Other than that it has to be in a price range of less than RM500. I don't need another high end spec phone when I've already have N95. All I needed was a basic phone and maybe as a Walkman. A phone finally fits all the needed requirements....Sony Ericsson W380i.

Some might say that the change is a step backward. But considering that the shoplady offered RM150 for my K750i, I had to make that decision as I believe I won't get any better price anywhere else, I might as well trade it in while it still worth something rather than nothing at all. The trade in process here in Tangkak was more tedious than it was back in KL. I never been asked for my charger ever before. But luckily when she tested everything was fine...phew!! And so I brought back home with me my new Sony Ericsson W380i.

For the record, this is my third Sony Ericsson model. The first was SE K700i. So here is the history of SE phone that I've owned.

Weekender...

Assalamualaikum,

This week I decided to stay at Tangkak and spend the weekend entertaining my bestest friend to a treat at the Mee Bandung Special at Muar. By the way, it has been a while since I had a treat there and feasting at the best Mee Bandung restaurant by far in my list.

Before arriving there, I decided to get some stuff at Giant Hypermarket in Muar. After done buying the needed stuff, we came across this fish treatment pool in there. At first I was reluctant to do but after some persuasion, I succumb to the plea. We were requested to soak our feet in a basin before putting them into the pool of fish. I was really embarrassed at first because I was giggling really loud as the fish started nibbling my feet. People around the shops were smiling looking at my reaction. I really laughed until my eyes were flooded with tears. I was covering my face at least until I can endure the thought of fish 'eating' my legs off. We were charged RM10 for a 20 minute treatment. I must say that my feet felt truly cleaned after the process.
The Doctor Fish, also known as Garra Rufa is a tiny toothless Turkish spa fish, of the Garra species, naturally nibbling away those pesky dead skin that makes your skin dull and dead, leaving you with silky smooth hands and feet that look great from any direction. Many people also believe that the Doctor Fish therapy (Fish Spa) can cure problems like psoriasis, a disease that causes red, scaly patches to appear on the skin. Hot spring spas in Turkey with such fish have been running for more than 100 years and some people with skin problems swear by the treatment. For example, with psoriasis, the fish lick away the plaque which causes red patches and release a small quantity of dithranol, an enzyme which results in skin rejuvenation.

Soon after that we soon set our foot at the Mee Bandung Muar restaurant. We ordered our normal menu but this time we added the Nasi Goreng Ayam. A while later, the restaurant welcome a familiar face, none other than Menteri Besar of Johor, YB Dato' Haji Ghani Othman, a local son of Muar. He came with his friends and bodyguards. I did give him a smile and he replied. Such a friendly person. And we continued feasting ignoring any extraordinary presence.

We then came back home with a clean feet. So to speak. Hehe

Farewell Party

Assalamualaikum,

Asam Garam Kehidupan (just two jars my mom bought; Ironic isn't it)

Today was a day that celebrates those who will be departing to a different direction. Two simple celebrations were conducted; one from the maths unit and the other by the Staff Club. I am just going to elaborate on the unit's celebration.

A meal was prepared and the four of us, Kak Saadah, Kak Suzi, Azmi and myself was celebrated and asked to give simple speech. I was the last person to give my speech. The truth is I was speechless and babbled throughout the entire process. But I did let out what was in my heart.

My name engraved in Gold

As a token of our hard work for Maths Unit, the four of us received a personalized engraved Sheaffer Pen. I was overwhelmed with the present and I felt really appreciated. At moments I even felt guilty for applying for the transfer. I felt that I am betraying a second family here in Tangkak. On a contrary, I believe that this transfer is somehow fated and I've always imagine myself taking a post similar to my mom's job when she was in the Kementerian.

After Maths

Assalamualaikum,

Tajuk entri di atas nih macam double meaning. 'Selepas Matematik' atau 'Kesan Susulan'. Dua-dua pon boleh lah.

Bukan apa, minggu nih minggu terakhir pembelajaran sebelum budak2 matrik nih study week dan finally exam. The ultimate exam. The final exam of all exams in matriculation. Menjadi kebiasaan minggu terakhirlah semua akan jadi super sibuk. Time camnih lah derang baru nak nampak batang idung. Ini tak paham, itu tak paham. Dulu2 taknak tanya. Huhuhu. Layan je la. Aku pon sibuk menyusun jadual untuk make sure dapat cover silibus minggu nih jugak.

Pasal 'kesan susulan' plak, actually, sedar atau tak sedar. Mahu atau tak mahu. Harini dah seminggu dah Arwah Dila pergi. Kalau orang cakap aku tak rindu, tipu lah. Puas dah kena bebel dengan semua orang sekeliling sebab nampak sangat sikap aku nih sejak akhir2 nih sedikit berubah. Mengajar dalam kelas pon kadang kala kelam kabut macam takde preparation. Tapi aku syukur sebab orang sekeliling faham situasi aku. Mungkin darjah kesan pemergiannya terhadap aku berbeza dengan orang lain kat kolej tuh sebab aku kenal arwah lebih lama. Akibatnya, untuk tiga hari aku demam panas. Kemuncaknya semalam apabila suhu badan aku mencecah 39 darjah celcius. Tangan dan telinga panas bak strika. Telinga nih macam dengar siaran tertunda 24 jam. Yang tak tahan, siap doktor pon cakap aku stres. Teruk sangat ke? Sorry ye, bukan aku mahu jadi begini, semuanya macam automatik. Takot orang kata aku over reacting plak. Tapi tuan punya badan je yang tahu isi hati.

Affaf cakap masa arwah ayah dia pergi dulu, berbulan-bulan jugak baru bleh terima keadaan. Anyway, aku dah boleh terima hakikat. Tapi flash back tetap ada, especially biler aku ngadap cubicle dia. Kadang2 macam boleh bayangkan dia dok atas kerusi dia sambil aku buat muka sememeh bagi dia gelak. Aku tak pernah fail bagi dia gelak tiap2 hari. I am going to miss that typical laugh of hers.

Anyhow, sekali lagi nak ucapkan terima kasih kat semua kenalan yang very supportive to me. Appreciate it very very much.
