Assalamualaikum,
Today I gained another new experience. I came to work normally like any other day, had my breakfast with my colleagues. Suddenly my boss approached me and told me that I need to replace him to attend a meeting at Bahagian Teknologi Pendidikan (BTP) in Bukit Kiara. He informed me exactly at 8:30 am and the meeting was scheduled to start at 9:00 am. I only have half an hour to be there and it's on the other side of KL.
So I decided to use my Garmin map in my N95 to guide me to use the shortest and easiest route. I end up using the Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong. I arrived without any hassle. But was a little bit late as the meeting was already started when I came in.
The meeting ended at noon and I rushed back to my brother's house at Puchong and go to mosque together. After that I went back to office just to be informed that officers who went for a meeting outside the organizations are required to prepare a Minit Curai for whatever that means. I've heard of it before once during my college days but never imagine myself preparing one. Hiks. Lucky for me the template and examples were provided by my colleague here. Apparently this Minit Curai is compulsory for government servants who attend meeting outside their department. The purpose is to tell people in our own department about what have been decided in the meeting that we attend and what our actions needed in the course of the decision taken.
Alhamdulillah I remembered to become an active listener during the meeting and was able to jot down some important notes. However I was also distracted with the cold temperature of the meeting room which forced me to take a leave to the restroom in the middle of the meeting. Hiks.
So today, I've learnt how to become a temporary secretary. Hehehe. Salute to all secretary in the world for their patience in listening and jotting down important notes. Now I know how hard that job is. Hehehe. Until then, take care now bye bye then.

New Work Update

Assalamualaikum,
I am just going to share some experience at my new workplace. Before this, I was an ordinary teacher who was living his working live depending on a piece of paper called timetable. Going to class, lunchtime, and free period was all in there and all I have to do is just obey them and when it's time to go home, I just pack my stuff and leave. It's like premeditated and has been repeated for the past three years. It's not like I'm complaining, but that was how I was.
But today, I no longer depend on timetable to do anything. Everything is more of an initiative rather than force. However, work can sometimes come like a tsunami without prior notice. As a 'new broom', every task given to me was finished in a fraction of time. I not only surprise my boss but I even surprise myself. Never knew I could work that fast. Everyday here is like a new lesson for me. Not only in my work description, but also my daily working life survival if you might say. Everyone here is giving me tons and tons of advice about people around here but I much prefer to stay neutral and not take sides. Other than that, people here at the new place is very helpful and friendly. I find it little bit hard as I can be considered youngest officer here. So I better watch what I say. Hiks. They might be in a different transmission wavelength. They might perceive differently towards what I say.
Anyhow, I am trying to adapt myself from my previous discipline to this newly and challenging work.
Back in peace

Assalamualaikum,
Sorry it took me a while before I even find stability to even write down an entry. I am finally back in KL after a whole week attending a TOT (Training of Trainers) course. I had to attend it because it relates to majority of my work here in Putrajaya.
Although the training was quite like a continuity from previous courses and for me it was kinda like a crash short course, I must say that now I have clearer view of my new job description. I am now less worried than when I was during my first day at the job.
I can't wait for Monday to come where I can actually practice and ask for more help from the experienced co-worker. hiks
Sarawak : Third Day
Changing Job, Snippet | Wednesday, May 20, 2009
Assalamualaikum,
The course went as scheduled, I learn a lot about the work that I will be dealing with in the office. My boss was very supportive even though I asked a lot. But the important thing is that I have that ability to learn very fast. Alhamdulillah, I was able to swallow everything that my boss explained just once.
Apart from the course itself, Pn. Aida, the Liaison officer who is in charge of entertaining us from semenanjung was very friendly, helpful and was always willing to fulfill any of our wishes from semenanjung.
She brought us to the famous Sarawak Kek Lapis shop, the waterfront shoprows, Indian street and we were ven lucky to watch the World Harvest celebration where people from India, Sri Lanka and even Latvia came to perform their traditional dance. I manage to join the latvian dance after Laura(one of the dancer) pulled me in. I even twisted my ankle in the process. She was friendly enough to pose for a photo with me. Hehehe.
We soon head back to our lodging place.
I am starting to get a hang of this job....Maybe I am going to be happy with my new work after all...

My First Day

Assalamualaikum,
Friday the 15 was the day I reported myself for duty in Putrajaya. I arrived as early as 7 am just to beat the traffic and book myself a nice shady parking spot. I am currently without my worker pass, therefore ineligible for a basement parking as yet.
Unfortunately, I had to wait until 8:15am until somebody from the administration office even bother being at the receptionist counter to entertain people. I guess that's how it works here. Apart from that, my pass application which I submitted last week still has not been processed yet which started to make my day a lousy start.
Was brought to my immediate boss, my Ketua Unit you might say and was quickly given a task of becoming a team to prepare a report for the innovation competition. As usual, editing and photoshopping is what I do best. Hehehe. Other than that, EMiS and MS Access are new things that I will have to learn very fast.
That's all I have to say right now, that was basically half of what I endured that day, I don't have a heart to say more...I just hope I blend in fast.

Distracted

Assalamualaikum,
It's 2 in the morning and tomorrow is the registration day for the new session of matriculation of 09/10 intake. And yet I am still not asleep. I am afraid I am suffering from insomnia again. I am recently distracted by my personal problems. This is totally out of my hands. Only time will tell whether I would be able to survive or recover this tsunami of problems. All I can say is that I am very unaware of the problem that heavily burden me. It came all of a sudden. I certainly did not see it coming. Within a week, everything changes. This sudden change has taken its toll on me. And I must say it came at the wrong time where my mental is totally unstable due to my transfer of workplace. I did not know that a transfer is very hard. All those years of hard work has now come to its end. The end. Finished. I guess I was too blind to see it coming. I guess I am an idealist. I assume everything is fine and wham it hits me right when I'm not looking. Even writing this long entry could not make me feel sleepy, not even a bit. Anger, frustration all roll into one in this episode. To all my friends, I wish them all the best in whatever they do. I am just a stint in their memories. Sooner or later they will soon bear with the idea I am no longer around. Oh heck, maybe they won't remember me at all. To readers, I might not post any more entry in this near future. At least until I achieve that equilibrium state of mind. At that time, I will decide whether this blog stays alive or buried dead. Thank you for your support all this time. I really appreciate it. Adios
Happy Mama's Day

Assalamualaikum,
Hari ini terjaga seawal jam 5 pagi dek bunyi guruh yang berdentum. Satu bunyi yang agak asing sejak akhir-akhir ini kerana cuaca panas. Sudah lama tak hujan. Hari ini hujan. Macam hujan nih nak join aku hujan je semalam. Hiks. Tido pon tak nyenyak, sebab penat mengemas banyak sangat semalam kot.
I like the smell of an early stage of rain. So acidic, yet the aroma is very distinctive.
Dia pon nak pindah tempat lain timba pengalaman baru.
Kebanyakan barang aku memang dah masukkan dalam kotak. Tinggal nak load dalam Kembara je nanti. I hate packing. I hate organizing stuff into small spaces. Aku nih jenis memori photographic. Pasal tuh aku tak kisah barang sepah, asalkan jangan ada orang tukang kemas. Memang aku takkan jumpa barang tuh kemudian. Hiks. Alasan untuk tidak mahu mengemas la tuh kan? Ada beberapa benda yang aku nak wakaf ke kat rumah sewa nih. Macam tak berbaloi je nak bawa balik.
Anyway, I feel funny today. I don't know how to describe that feeling. It sucks!!!
Sooo Wide!!!

Assalamualaikum,
This is officially my first entry from my new HP computer. So far I'm happy with it. Happy with the 20 inch LCD monitor. I pretty much have to lift my mouse to reach from one end to the other. Hehe. Browsing felt good, but my blog looks a little bit bloated in this screen. Everything seems out of position and blown out of proportion. I guess this template does not limit the column size, instead it just fit in into any available screen areas.
I guess I better start looking for a new template so that my blog will be a candy for my eyes and not just for visitors. Hiks
